Tea Time at Jan's Digi Stamp Challenge

It’s the third Monday in January and that means a new challenge over at…

Jan’s Digi Stamps Challenge

As always the theme is Anything Goes and today I have the privilege of being able to use one of Jan’s awesome new stamp sets for January.

Team Time

This set is divine! There are so many elements to choose from including pre-coloured images, sentiments and black and white images. You can mix and match to your heart’s content.

I used the pre coloured cup and single flower to create my own digital paper with the help of a graphics program. So the recipient of this card will have a truly unique card!

I teamed up the cup with the thank you sentiment and coloured it with Promarkers.

I chose the tea box with the sentiment already attached and coloured I with Promarkers too.

I added some lace and ribbon from my stash and a few little butterflies for a finishing touch.

For my Dt card I chose 

Deer 1 from Morgan’s Art World

Just when you thought it was safe to go back into the craft room, here I am with another Christmas card, lol. I am determined this year not to have the last minute crafting frenzy to get my cards made! 

I used the image twice for this card but made one deer smaller than the other and flipped it horizontally.
I coloured the images with Promarkers, fussy cut them, then used Pinflair silicon glue to mount them onto the backing paper to give the card dimension.

The scrummy papers are available here from Poppymoondesign – digital papers.

I love the traditional colours and woodland theme to these papers.

The sentiment was created on the PC.

I Love Promarkers First Challenge of 2020

I adore Dr Digi images and the humour they convey, especially for people of a certain age which is the category myself, family and friends fall into!

For my DT card which is a birthday card for my brother in law who can turn his hand to any practical task, I chose to use 

‘Man About the House’

 I coloured the image with Promarkers and wanted something to reflect the theme of the image and the personality of the recipient. I went over to the Lori Whitlock store and found this fabulous cutting file for a Step Card Tool Box. Perfect for using all those scraps of card I have lying around my craft room.

Guest Designer at Jan's Digital Stamps Challenge

I am buzzing with excitement because  I am Guest Designer for January and February at  …

Jan’s Digi Stamps Challenge

 I can’t begin to tell you what a joy it is to work with these amazing images.

If you are not familiar with Jan’s work then I suggest you hop over to her shop using the link here. I promise you, you will not be disappointed.

The digital sets on there are such great value. They include black and white, coloured images and several sentiments- in fact everything you need to create the perfect card or scrapbook layout.

For my debut card I simply had to use the awesome

Disco Friends

  This image makes me laugh so much and it’s the perfect image for my friend because we have joined a ‘Funky Step’ group. We are both well into our 60's so you can imagine what that is like!

For the background I chose a simple vinyl record image (available free here) and created a base card using my Cricut Maker.

The sentiment is one of several included in the set, but I recreated the text on a curve to fit the record.

The banner was made from music paper.

The fabulous images have been coloured using Promarkers.
I added glossy accent to both of their glasses.
I also had great fun creating this mug using the pre-coloured image in the set and waterslide decals. I edited the sentiment by cropping it and adding BFF instead of Girlfriend. So you see these stamp sets are just so versatile.
There are loads of tutorials on Youtube showing how to add water slide decals to ceramic mugs.

I think this image lends itself to a masculine card so I teamed it up with the gorgeous Christmas deers , woodland, printable digital paper pack from Poppymoondesign to make a card for my teenage nephew.
