Good Morning Crafty Peeps,
I am buzzing with
excitement because I am Guest Designer
for January and February at …
If you are not
familiar with Jan’s work then I suggest you hop over to her shop using the link
here. I promise you, you will not
be disappointed.
The digital sets on
there are such great value. They include black and white, coloured images and
several sentiments- in fact everything you need to create the perfect card or
scrapbook layout.
For my debut card I simply
had to use the awesome
For the background I
chose a simple vinyl record image (available free here)
and created a base card using my Cricut Maker.
The sentiment is one
of several included in the set, but I recreated the text on a curve to fit the record.
The banner was made
from music paper.
The fabulous images
have been coloured using Promarkers.
I added glossy accent to both of their glasses.
I also had great fun creating this mug using the pre-coloured image in the set and waterslide decals. I edited the sentiment by cropping it and adding BFF instead of Girlfriend. So you see these stamp sets are just so versatile.
There are loads of tutorials on Youtube showing how to add water slide decals to ceramic mugs.
For more inspiration check out the fantastic design team samples and remember to become a follower to be in with a chance to win $10 to spend in the store.

Oh wow I am so glad I caught this post Sheryl, fabulous image, coloured so beautifully and it really does make me smile, I can relate for sure...haha...
ReplyDeleteI hope you had a lovely Christmas and best wishes for the new year.xx
Sheryl, you are incredible! I love what you have done in every tiny detail - especially the curved sentiment (something I don't know how to do) and the fabulous color choices and fun scene. The musical cross bar reminds me of my friends dancing to the music "back in the day" at our slumber parties and dances. We'd dance til we dropped! Sounds like you and your friend enjoy doing this to this day! Wish I could join you! Thank you for making such fantastic projects and explaining your creative process. big hugs, de

ReplyDeleteThis is spectacular, Sheryl! How lucky we were to snag you as a GDT. The mug is such a great idea and I have one of those friends with whom I could share both the card and the mug. She'd be tickled pink with them. We, too, were disco girls back when. lol
ReplyDeleteThe image is awesome and what you have chosen to do with it is equally awesome. Your coloring skills are sick and I am inspired to check out the water slide decal videos! Great work, Sheryl. Thanks for sharing it with us at 613 Avenue Create!
