Thank you

I am slowly working my way through the pile of thank you cards I need for work.
This card is one based on the sketch for this week's lily of the valley challenge. I decided to make a monochrome card for a change. The sketch is a lovely one and one I will definitely use again.

No time!

Morning everyone,
Just a quick post today as my hubby says that we need to leave the house at 9:30 for our cricket match.
So here goes. I made this card for a young friend who is having a sad time at the minute. I joined two 5 inch scalloped card blanks together and cut away half of each front to create a shaped gate fold card. The image is a wee stamps image and reminds me so much of her little boy that I just had to have it.

Flowers are from wild orchids. Ribbon and lace from stash. Papers Nitwits check out that colour it's sublime!

I am entering this card for the following challenges
Fussy and Fancy      -  CASE - I took Dianne's design for inspiration
Totally Gorjuss  - Ribbons and lace
Spoonful of sugar ribbons and bows

Weekends

It seems at the moment that my crafting is restricted to the weekend. I had a fab day yesterday. My best friend and I finished the wedding invitations for her son's wedding- and pretty smug we feel too! With those out of the way I thought I had better crack on with my thank you cards and graduation cards for my colleagues and friends at work. This is my first thank you card  using one of my digi wee stamps. She is so pretty hope my colouring has done her justice.

Flowers, lace, corners - all from Wild Orchids.
Ribbon from stash
Pearls from ebay
Swirls die cut using Marianne creatables die
I am entering this for the following challenges
Cute Card Thursday - Birthstone colours - amethyst and Hyacinth
Totally gorjuss - pearls and swirls

At Last

Hi everyone,
It has been a busy, busy week, hence no posts until today. At last I have made a card using my Humphrey's Corner CD Rom. I thought I would never get one done.
I used the template from the Adorables CD I had at Christmas and one of the decoupage images. I only used the first two layers though - it's just enough to give an extra dimension to this pretty style of card.
The sister with the 'blingy' dress is my sister - glam as ever Bev! And of course the other one is me!
Any way, hope you like it. Thanks for stopping by.

Everything is from the CD except for the flowers and lace obviously which are from Wild Orchid Crafts.
I was entering this into the Crafters Companion Humphrey Competition  but I can't fathom out what to do with this widget thingee!
So I'm entering into Crafters Companion Monthly Challenge

Fathers' Day

Poor Alfie, only managed a 5th place. His "mum" was very disappointed. Alfie wasn't at all bothered and slept the rest of the afternoon. My sister in law rang to ask if I would make two Fathers day cards. So I reached for good old Teddy Bo again. I do make cards with other characters -  lol.
So this is the one I made last night because I am back to work today and so no time for crafting!
Have a good week.

Papers from Nitwit collection - a mixture and recoloured using My Craft Studio.
Letters cut out using Cricut.
Image from er .... let me think ...... oh yes teddybo & co.

Cold and Windy

Morning everyone,
The weather here is dull, very windy and definitely chilly! Just the day for standing around watching our eldest daughter's beloved King Charles Spaniel, Alfie, at our local festival dog show. She enters him in every category and is very aggrieved if he doesn't win. If there was a category for most persistent and pushy owner she would win that hands down! Fingers crossed he comes away with something today.
Yesterday I was a guitar widow as my husband went off for a day with his guitar buddies to a "get together" so after catching up on the much needed window cleaning I made my soon to be 17 year old nephew's birthday card. He is in a group so this teddy bo image suits him perfectly. These teddies are so gorgeous.

I coloured the image with promarkers.
The papers are from the Forever Freinds black and gold collection.
Tag was a free down load from digi doodle shop.
Brads recoloured because I didn't have any of the right colour.
String and tag coloured with distress ink.

I am entering this card in the followiung challenges
Simon Says Stamp - Masculine creation
Creative Inspirations - Cute Bears.

Raring to Go!

After a lovely relaxing day crafting and having lunch with my best friend who is also addicted to card making, today I am raring to go and determined to complete those end of year reports. For today's card I followed the sketch by Rebekah for the Pink Gem challenge. I must apologise to the lovely ladies there because I have only just found you- and what a delight! I am spreading the word amongst my crafting buddies because the items you have are so reasonably priced and just gorgeous.
This is Rebekah's sketch.

And this is my take on it. As you can see I am in pink mode again - I don't know why because it's so not my colour.

As usual the floral paper is from Nitwit collections, the flowers from wild orchid crafts and the gorgeous image is a digi image from pink gem designs.

I am entering this card into the following challenges.

A gem of a challenge - Sketch
Truly Scrumptious - Challenge 58 Summer Sparkle.
A Spoon Full of Sugar - Challenge 154 Flower Power
Craft Room - 1st challenge anything goes
Divas by design -Florals

Enjoy the rest of your day.

Almost there

Hi everyone
I'm on holiday this week, but have to write end of year reports so I haven't seen the light of day until today when I decided I was going to do some crafting as they are almost done!
I have been wanting to make this tea pot card for ages and have just bought this teddy bo & co image - along with many, many more lol! The two seemed to fit together perfectly. As the card is a 3d card it will be perfect for my niece to pop a small gift inside for her teacher at the end of the year. Wonder if I will get one - lol.

The image is coloured with promarkers.
I used another one of the nitwit digi papers printed onto 300gsm centura pearl card. I can't stop using these papers they are just so pretty.
The flowers and crochet lace are from wild orchid crafts of course.

I am entering this card into the teddy bo shaped card challenge

Thanks for stopping by. Enjoy the rest of the week
