Use Embossing

Good morning all,
It's Thursday again and the weeks are just flying by. Over at CRAFT challenge toady we would like you to...

Use Embossing
You can use embossing powders or dry embossing or a combination of both in your projects.

Our fantastic sponsors this week are

My DT card this week is a very different card for me.
I chose to use sheriff by Doodle Dragons

This card is for our best friend's birthday who loves westerns.
I used an embossabilities folder for the brickwork and embossed wood effect paper for the roof.
The wanted poster was a feebie I found somehere on the internet and the sheriff sign was $1 from another site - I'm sorry I can't remember which one.
The image is coloured with copics.

Have a great day

Anything But A Card at Incy Wincy

Good morning all, I trust you are all well,
Today over at INCY WINCY designs we have another new challenge
Which is, as the title of this post suggests....

Anything but a card.

These challenges really are that for me but my fellow teamies are fantastic when it comes to this type of challenge.

Our sponsor this week is

The DT were lucky enough to be given some amazing images to play with.
I chose 'new baby mouse', but used him slightly differently than it was intended for.

Here is my decorated cracker

These crackers have been sitting on my shelf since last August!
I was full of good intentions to use them for putting Christmas gifts in.
They are available here

The patterned paper is from Country Christmas Set of digi papers by Stamping Mindy

I now have lots of ideas for these crackers so you may be seeing more. At least that will be one more unused thing off the shelves lol.

Have a great day,

One Layer Card

Good morning all,
Today over at Charisma Cardz we have a new challenge.

This week it is team Gem's turn to host the challenge and the theme was chosen by Joyce.

We would like you to create a one layer card.

This means one piece of card folded in half with no additional layers and minimal embellishments, with the image stamped or printed directly onto the cardstock.

Our fantastic sponsors this week are Card Mad Fairy and Pink Cat Studios

Here is my DT card for this week using two hearts from Card Mad Fairy.

Boy was this a challenge for me!  I really don't do clean and simple cards so this really difficult for me. I really missed my embellies and layers on this one.
As you can see I glittered part of the image to define some of the pretty detail.
The ribbon is from my stash as are the gems.

Not a lot else to say about this card!
Enjoy the challenge and please visit my fellow teamies for their inspiration.

Have a great day and enjoy the challenge.

I used the image to make a bookmark which I attached to the card with a velcro dot.

The papers are from the Katie Pertiet Set Letter box Bird Watcher - here
The pearls and ribbons are from my crafty stash.
The cute sentiement stamp is one of a Little Claire's set 'Little Beauties Tags Set' here

Christmas in February

Good morning all,
I hope you haven't had too much snow. We had a slight snowfall yesterday but nothing to cause too much disruption.
This week over at CRAFT Challenge we have a brand new challenge.

Christmas in February

As you know each month one of our challenges will be a Christmas challenge. This means we can get well a truly ahead this year, instead of the last minute rush.

Our amazing sponsors this week are ….

All of our sponsors gave us some gorgeous images to play with, but I had a particular project in mind and so chose

'Merry Christmas Lamp' post from Patties Designs.
I teamed it with a Vintage Christmas blendable from Katie Pertiet here

The image was coloured with Promarkers and then scanned so that I could blend it with the other image.
I then printed it onto tissue and transferred onto the candle in the usual way.
I have saved the image so will be able to make more candles as gifts complete with gift tags and matching boxes.

I'm loving this idea of a Christmas challenge each month. I will be so organised this Christmas!

I would like to enter this project into the following challenges.

Make it Monday - Anything goes
Through the Craft Room Door - Anything Goes
Tuesday Throwdown - Anything goes

Enjoy your day and the challenge.

It's A Girl!

Good morning everyone,
Firstly I would like to congratulate our best friends on becoming grandparents for the first time on Saturday.

Congratulations

Lynn and Clive!

Obviously I would also like to congratulate

Chris and Gemma on the safe arrival of their daughter

Emily Louise!

Over  at INCY WINCY this week, we have a new sponsor and a new challenge.

Our sponsor is

And the challenge is

Add Texture

(This could be glitter; dry embossing, fabric; feathers – anything to give your creation that touchy feely factor)

I chose this cute image from the Birdie Baby set to make a card for our first time grandparents.

The image was coloured with Promarkers and Flex markers.
The papers are from the Printable Heaven set - pink  here
The hessian, feathers and gems are from stash.
The flowers are from Wild Orchids.
The swirl was made using a Doo Hickey die
The corners were made using a Cheery Lynn lacey corner die.
The sentiment was made on my PC.

Have a great day and enjoy the challenge.

Well it's very chilly here at the minute so I hope you are all warm and cosy.
Today at CRAFT Challenge we have a new challenge......

Get Well/ Bandages

As always we have several great sponsors

My card was made using this gorgeous image from Rick St Dennis

Daizee

She was coloured with Promarkers.
The lace and net are from Hobby Craft.
The sentiment is from Little Claire's.
The flowers are from Wild Orchids.
The corner swirls were made using a memory box corner die.

Enjoy the challenge and the rest of your day.

More Love

Good morning again, it's time to announce the new challenge at Charisma Cardz

This week it's team Gem's turn to host the challenge and the theme for this week's challenge has been chosen by Gemma herself. Her chosen theme is .....

Love

For my DT card I decided to move away from a traditional 'love' card.
My best friend's first grandchild is due any minute so in preparation I made my new baby card, because to me nothing epitomises love more than a parent's love for their child.

So here is my card made using this beautiful image from Sugar Nellies Simply Adorable range called Bebe.

The edging was made using a Marthar Stewart PATP punch, then inked with scattered straw distress ink.
The image was coloured with Promarkers.
The papers were all from Printable Heaven - a set called Baby Yellow.
The flowers are from Wild Orchids.
The swirls were made using a Memory Box Die
The ribbon and pearls are from my stash and the sentiment was made on my PC.
We are looking forward to visiting your blog and enjoying your wonderful creations.

Have a great day,

Love Is In The Air

Good morning Peeps,

I do hope you are all well and managing to recover from or avoid the nasty bugs that are going around at the moment!

Today at INCY WINCY DESIGNS we have a brand new challenge - a nice easy one,

Love Is In The Air

For my card I chose this image from the Valentine Trio Collection

This will be my husband's Valentine's card this year - hence the sentiment!

The base papers are from the La Crem Chocolat Paper by Katie Pertiet - here
And the Gothic style paper is from Stamping All Day.

The card candy is from my stash and the image is coloured with Promarkers.

We are all looking forward to visiting your blogs  to see your romantic or funny love cards.

I am entering this card into the following challenges

So let's fill the air with love, have a great day.
