Christmas in February

Good morning all,
I hope you haven't had too much snow. We had a slight snowfall yesterday but nothing to cause too much disruption.
This week over at CRAFT Challenge we have a brand new challenge.

Christmas in February

As you know each month one of our challenges will be a Christmas challenge. This means we can get well a truly ahead this year, instead of the last minute rush.

Our amazing sponsors this week are ….

All of our sponsors gave us some gorgeous images to play with, but I had a particular project in mind and so chose

'Merry Christmas Lamp' post from Patties Designs.
I teamed it with a Vintage Christmas blendable from Katie Pertiet here

The image was coloured with Promarkers and then scanned so that I could blend it with the other image.
I then printed it onto tissue and transferred onto the candle in the usual way.
I have saved the image so will be able to make more candles as gifts complete with gift tags and matching boxes.

I'm loving this idea of a Christmas challenge each month. I will be so organised this Christmas!

I would like to enter this project into the following challenges.

Make it Monday - Anything goes
Through the Craft Room Door - Anything Goes
Tuesday Throwdown - Anything goes

Enjoy your day and the challenge.

  1. It's a beautifully decorated candle, with such a cozy Christmas scene. This will make a very nice gift! I've never tried decorating candles before, but you've got me tempted to try it out in the future... I came over from MIM to visit.

  6. Sheryl, what a lovely candle - your coloring on the image is beautiful. I haven't done this for at least 10 years, and want to try it again after seeing how pretty yours came out with the soft colors and gorgeous image. Thanks for sharing and inspiring me.
