Teddy Bo Birthstone Challenge

Hi everyone on this last day of 2011.
Today I have made a card for my mum's 79th birthday next week. To be honest it's the first card I've made for ages that hasn't been a DT card or a Christmas card and I have really enjoyed it. I also wanted to make a card for the Teddy Bo challenge because I love Gayle's images so much, but have recently been unable to make any cards with her images due to DT committments.
The challenge is to use your birthstone colours. I didn't know whether to choose reds ( garnet) for mum or cool blues (aquamarine) for my birthstone. As you can see I opted for the blues 'cos I love pastel shades best.

The image is 'Jolly' from Teddy Bo & Co.
The blooms are from Wild Orchid Crafts.
The Seam binding is from Create and Craft.
Pearls are from stash.
The papers are from Nitwit collection - bundle of joy.

I would like to enter this into the following challenges

Enjoy your New Year Celebrations

Happy New Year

Hello all, I hope you all had a fantastic Christmas.
All of our turkey and chocs have disappeared as my waistline can prove. New healthy eating routine begins on New Years day. At this point, Ian is rolling around the floor laughing. Over at CRAFT our challenge this week is 'New Year.'
We have two sponsors Sew Many Cards and Liastampz.

For my D.T. card I chose 'Stryder with balloons from 'Sew Many Cards.'
I added text to the balloons using Microsoft Publisher  and decoupaged them to give dimension to the card.
The image is coloured using Promarkers and Spectrum Noir pens
The papers I found on a My Craft Studio CD - Simply Silhouettes.
The corner and flowers are from Wild Orchids Crafts.

Enjoy the challenge and have a fab new year.

Card with removable item.

Festive greetings all!
As you can see from the title of this post, today I have a card with a removable item. This is the challenge for this week over at CRAFT. I have been wanting to make a book card for ages, and so decided to make one for our gorgeous little 3 year old grandson Ryan.

The image I chose is from one of our fabulous sponsers for this challenge- Bows and Berries and it's called toastygingerbreadman.

Our other Sponsor is My Creative Classroom

The removable item is inside the card - chocolate gingerbread men to hang on his tree. I doubt they will make it to the tree lol but there is always hope!

The chocolate men were made using a silicon mould I got from Amazon.
The papers are once again from Bearly Mine Christmas Wishes.
The snowflake border is a MS PAP - Aspen snowflake
The ribbon was from crafts u love - I think.

A pleasant change

Hi peeps
I have been asked to make a birthday card for a friend's daughter's 21st birthday just after Christmas. To be honest it's nice not to be making Christmas cards! I have never coloured a Kenny K image before but love this one. Her daughter is studying media studies at Uni, loves to shop and the whole family spent 4 days in New York at Easter.
So the Image I chose is Madison Attitude.

The clapper board and film strip I found on the internet and personalised.

The camera button was from the NEC in November.
Ribbon from stash
The charm and chain from ebay

Hello everyone, and welcome to December.
I really will have to get myself organised for Christmas to try to avoid my last minute panic.

Today is new challenge day over at CRAFT Challenge and this week's theme is Christmas Present

Our two sponsors this week are

Crimson Cloud         and          Lauretta's Digital Stamps

First I decided to make an Easel card and gift box combined for my grandson to give to his key worker at nursery as a Christmas gift as my DT project this week.

This is the box when it is closed.

The top lifts and folds to make an easel card.
Obviously you could put anything in the box, I chose scented candles.

The papers are from Bearly Mine Designs  Winter Swirls
The gorgeous image, Christmas Cat is coloured with promarkers and is fromLauretta's Digital Stamps
Tea lights from local supermarket - they were £2.99 for 32 - so I am making lots of these for Christmas!

Stars in Your Eyes

Hi peeps, welcome to another Thursday morning. I hope the world is treating you well.

The new challenge over at Craft Challenge  this week is

Stars in Your Eyes.

Our two lovely sponsors this week are

As soon as I saw Xmas Bratz Girl Candy Cane, I just knew I had to use her. She reminds me so much of my niece.  So here is her Chrismas card with a difference.  I made a sort of Christmas dream catcher for her to hang in her bedroom.

Here is a close up of the main star and image.

The main star is made from a template included in the Do Crafts Digital Designer Program which is part of my  Tatty Teddy CD. It's a bit fiddly to get the inside star going inwards when you do the first one but after that it gets easier.
The papers are from the Nitwit collection Comfort and Joy
The ribbon and gems are from stash
Brats girl is coloured with promarkers.

Hope you like her. Remember to pop over to the rest of the D.T. blogs.
I would like to enter this project into the following challenges

Cute

Good morning all, where does the time go? It's Thursday again and time for a new challenge over at CRAFT.

This week the theme is Cute and once again we have two sponsors
The Crafty Pad designs and 2 Cute Rubber Stamps

It was a difficult choice with so many lovely images but I had to choose this little chap from 2 Cute for my DT card, because he reminds me of one of my beautiful cats who eats absolutely anything including, ribbons, wild orchid blooms and crafting tools!

This card  is for dear Emma whose birthday is today. Happy birthday hun x

The papers are from Bearly Mine Designs - Delicious Delights
Ribbon and gems  from stash
Swirl cut using Marianne Creatable die
The border is made using a Martha Stewart Punch around the page punch which I have just mastered and which I will be using a lot more. It just adds that touch of luxury I think.

Hope you like my card, please hop over to the rest of the D.T. blogs they have some stunning creations.

I am entering this card into the following Challenges

Family Games / Board games or Activities

Morning everyone, I trust you are all in good health.
Today is Thursday and time for another challenge over at CRAFT challenge.
This week we are sponsored by:-

Bows and Berries and Die Cut Dreams

The Theme is Family Games / Board games or Activities
I have chosen to make a scalloped Easel card for my D.T. card using one of the Bows and Berries stamps.
I like the simplicity of the pin cushion stamp - ( which my husband said could be converted into a powder puff and bowl, not like Ian to be creative!). It would also make a nice cream jar. Because the stamp is so simple it means you can go to town with bows and flowers, which as you can see I have.
The delicious paper is from the Bearly Mine Vintage collection - I adore these papers.
Swirls and border are cut using Marianne Creatable dies.
Ribbon is from stash
Roses and rose buds are from Wild Orchids
Other blooms from 'The Works'.

Have fun with this challenge - looking forward to seeing your entries.
Don't forget to visit the other D.T. members blogs.

C.R.A.F.T.Challenge Savannah

Morning all
It's Thursday which can only mean two things - I only have one day of my week's holiday left and today is the day for the new C.R.A.F.T challenge.
This week our sponsors are
Aifactory
who if you are not familiar with them have some gorgeous digi stamps, papers and other goodies.

So here is my D.T. card for this challenge.
I decided to make a Christmas card using the lovely Little Fairy holding an empty card.
Our challenge this week is a colour challenge. I really had to give this one some thought as I don't normally work with these colours.

Challenge 126, Colour Savannah
The beautiful paper is from Bearly Mine Designs from a kit called Christmas Frolics. The kit is full of yummy papers and delicious toppers.
The ribbon is from stash and the flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts.

Hubby's Birthday

Hi everyone,
I have been crafting like crazy this week trying to make my D. T. projects for CRAFT challenge whilst I am on holiday this week. Yes I still can't believe that Jo and the team invited me to join. Sorry won't mention it again.
I have taken a break to make my husband's birthday card using this gorgeous teddy bo image.

Ian is a cricket fan so I emailed Gayle at teddy bo & co to ask if there was a chance that she could draw a cricketing Bo and she came up with this stunning image!    Thanks again Gayle .
Oh how I wish I had a fraction of her talent!
The challenge over at Teddy Bo is Clean and Simple - which is something I find difficult to do, but here goes ....

The image is coloured with promarkers and flexmarkers.
The paper is from Nitwit collection bundle of joy
Bakers twine from Create and Craft
Buttons from stash
The sentiment was made on the computer.

Thanks for looking, have a good day

DT Debut

I really can't believe that I have been asked to join the design team at C.R.A.F.T Challenge!
I am so thrilled and yet nervous at the same time.

The challenge 125 this week is Autumn
The sponsers for this challenge are
Some Odd Girl Digital Stamps and Crimson Cloud

Here is my D.T. debut card.

I have chosen the image Kite Flyin Tobie

 Tobie is coloured with Promarkers
The papers are Nitwit Papers from the enchanted Autumn Collection as are the sweet little acorn embellies.
The sentiment was added digitally.
Because the card is for a man I have had to resist all my usual ribbons, lace and flowers so now have to make another using these.

For my second DT card I have used Witchy Tia

Tia is coloured with Promarkers
The spooky papers are freebies from Bearly Mine Designs.
Flowers from Wild Orchids.

Please hop over to the C.R.A.F.T challenge blog and check out the DT samples - all of which are yummy.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:

Me Again

Hi just a quicky cos I'm so chuffed with this!

A few weeks ago I saw a stunning wedding candle and box on Bev Rochester's site. Thank you so much Bev for your inspiration.
She had held a workshop to show how to make one, but sadly I live too far away to attend. So I have set about making my own version - which of course is nothing like the gorgeous one she made but I  have made it for a special couple to match the card I made for them  for their wedding on Saturday.
I created the design on the card for the box  by incorporating their names and date onto an existing paper from Rapsberry road designs - for the record . I printed the same design onto tissue paper to wrap the candle in.

Babies Everywhere

Afternoon all,
You know you are getting older when your contemporaries are no longer having their own babies, but are rejoicing in the safe arrival of eagerly awaited grandchildren. We have two such events at work at the moment. This card is for two first time grandparents who I know will thoroughly spoil their little grandaughter - but isn't that the joy of being a grandparent? None of the pressures that are on young parents, more time, more patience and when you are exhausted ..... they go home!

The papers are all from the Cute as a Button Collection from Raspberry Road designs.
The alphas are from Nitwit Pink Lemonade Alpha
I made the bunting by combining a rectangle and triangle in Microsoft Publisher and then inserting the letters from the Nitwit alphabet.
The bakers' twine was from Create and Craft.

The beautiful image is from Teddy Bo & Co

As you know I adore these images they are just so versatile because they span all ages.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges.

Enjoy the rest of this blustery Sunday

Tatty Teddy birthday

Hello all,
Thank goodness it's Friday! I am soooo looking forward to a weekend of crafting. I have wedding gifts to make and new baby cards. My card tonight is for a friend at work for her birthday on Monday. I was wondering what card to make for her this weekend when she said today that she loves Tatty Teddy and that her son had bought a teddy for her. I used the CLP challenge sketch for inspiration.

So I reached for my CD and came up with this card - thank goodness for Cds as I'm far too tired tonight to do any colouring.
The papers are from the Nitwit digi collection Pinky swear.
The flowers from Wild  Orchid
The lace is from stash
The swirl is cut with a Marianne Creatables die.

I would like to enter the card into the following challenges.

Precious new arrival

My God daughter has given birth to her first child at the age of 38!. We are all so thrilled. Little Imogen Rose is so beautiful but as they live out in Kuala Lumpur it will be some time before we get to snuggle and cuddle. Here are the things I made for her using my favourite Teddy Bea image and using my favourite colours.
The image on the card was coloured using promarkers whilst the image for the candle, clothes and wrapping tissue was coloured using a computer art program. Hope she likes them!!!!

Sorry the post is so photo heavy.
I would like to enter these into the teddy bo challenge - favourite colours

Back at last

OMG it is a month since my last post. I am back at school and the new school year has begun so no time to craft I'm afraid. I have however managed to make an easel wedding card, using a shape I discovered on one of my Cricut cartridges. The image is of course Teddy Bo & Co, which is the pencil sketch to which I added a touch of pink using promarkers and flexmarkers.
I used a marianne border die to punch out the pink strip and the white parchment strip on top adds a bit more dimension.

I love easel cards but I am never sure that the recipients know how to display them - if they are not cardmakers themselves.

I would like to enter this into the Charisma Cardz challenge - love

Purple patch

Good afternoon everyone,
My husband left for work very early this morning and as usual woke up the entire street. So I was up early finishing off the birthday cards I need for back at work this week. They are quick cards using CD images rather than coloured images as not everyone saves handmade cards and I am gutted when I have spent ages colouring an image and it ends up in the bin. The From me to you disc from Docrafts is just stunning.
I have chosen purple, which is a colour I don't normally use, but I so love the bearly mine August freebie paper so I had to use it.
Papers Bearly Mine Designs and Stamping all day
Ribbon and gems from stash.

Wedding # 2

Hi again! I haven't posted in ages and now two in one day! This is my second wedding card based on the sketch and stash sketch 69.

I have combined the sketch with the teddy bo challenge which is black and white and one other colour.
I chose red as my other colour because the bridesmaids are wearing red at the wedding I am going to. I chose the coloured image and set the printer to black and white, I added red to parts of the image and decoupaged the back of the car and teddy bo's hat.
The image is coloured with Promarkers.
The flowers and seam binding are from wild orchids, I can't remember where the hat pin is from.
The pearls on string I have had in my craft box since I began crafting 18 months ago - thought it was about time I gave them an airing.
The paper is Raspberry Road for the record paper set.
I am entering this card into the following challenges

Weddings, weddings, weddings!

Hello all, I can't believe that it's been two weeks since my last post. I have been so busy and to be honest had lost my mojo a bit. In that time my best friend Lynn and I went for a promarker colouring class with Carlyann from Charisma cards. We had a fantastic time! Carly is such a super crafter and explained things so clearly that we came away feeling that with practice we will be able to colour a half decent image. Thank you so much Carly and we will be back in the new year for the next steps. In the meantime I hope you approve of the way I have coloured the image on this card.

Having not had any weddings for ages I have two in the space of a month which means cards to make!
This is my first card which uses a Mo Manning digi stamp which I first saw on a beautiful card by Debbie on her blog. Her card was so beautiful, it inspired me to have a go - thanks Debbie for the inspiration you are a very talented lady.
I used the sketch for the CLP challenge

The image is coloured with Promarkers, Flexmarkers and Spectrum Noir.
The doily and swirls was made using  Marianne Creatables dies which I love.
The gorgeous papers are digi papers from Bearly Mine Designs again rapidly becoming a favourite of mine.
The flowers are from wild orchid crafts, although the baby's breath could well be from Hobby Craft as is the lace.
I would like to enter this card in the following challenges
Crafty Creations 3 or more punches or dies, (Nestabilities labels, doily, die, swirl die and Friskars border punch)
Bearly Mine Challenge Flowers, flowers, flowers.

Quick cards

Morning All,
I have been so busy with Christmas cards that I had such a shock to discover I need four September birthday cards for work as soon as I go back at the beginning of the month. So I reached for my Tatty Teddy CD to look for inspiration for my quick cards. Here is one of them for a colleague who loves gardening and has an allotment.
I used the current challenge sketch over at A Gem of a Challenge.

The image, polka dot paper and decoupage elements are from the CD.
The border and striped paper are from a Nitwit collection.
Roses and skeleton leaf are from Wild Orchids and the buttons are from stash.

Only the heart and plant pot are decoupaged as I wanted the card to be fairly clean and simple.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges

Have a brilliant day - off to watch my husband play in a veterans cricket match much huffing and puffing, red faces and aches and pains tomorrow lol.

Sketch n stash

Good morning all,
I am feeling a bit sorry for myself today. Yesterday I went to the dentist to try and save a tooth that had broken. The dentist drilled away at what remained of  the tooth and filled it but said that it may well give me more problems and have to come out. Already it is beginning to throb so looks like another trip to the dentist.
I have followed this week's sketch from Sketch and Stash designed by Sue.
I used it as the design for my nephew's Christmas card featuring one of the adorable LOTV stamps which is my favourite and which I coloured with Promarkers.
The papers are part of the set I mentioned yesterday from Bearly Mine Designs.
I have used two different papers and three embellishments, gems, snowflakes and a ticket.
The snowflakes I bought this time last year for a crafting session with my niece and have had them in my box since then.
The ticket sentiment was made on my computer.
I would  like to enter this into the following challenges.

Two in one day

Two posts in one day - unheard of.
I have now made the Christmas cards for my two nieces. They are cousins not sisters and are at opposite ends of the age spectrum. My older niece Abbie is almost 20 whilst my younger niece is just 8. I have to make my two nephews cards now, the age gap there is slightly less but theses days just two years difference in age seems to be equivalent to 10 years when I was young.
The papers are digi papers from bearly mine designs - if you haven't checked them out yet, do, they have some amazing papers.
I followed the sketch created by Dena for the Wild Orchid Challenge.
