For my card I chose

Cushion Kitty

This gorgeous image is coloured with Promarkers. 

The background was made using a spellbinder die which I used to cut the six panels which were then embossed.

It’s a much neglected die and I am always delighted with the effect when I use it.

The sentiment was made on the PC.

The flowers are from my stash and the foliage was made using a Martha Stewart punch.

Here is our mid challenge post at

Jan’s Digi Stamps Challenge

For my mid challenge inspiration project, I have used

Alone Together

 

We have been without internet for several days as a result of a lightning strike last Tuesday night. I can honestly say that it was the most frightening experience of my life so far and I am thankful that we all escaped unharmed.

So, I needed to create a quick card once power was restored and at least some things were up and running.

This is where the coloured images in Jan’s sets are such a God send along with the fabulous sentiments.

She makes it all so, so easy.

This week I decided to create a CAS card – which I very rarely do.

I used this image from Mo’s Digital Pencil called

Video boy

 

 I created the word strings on my Cricut

 Maker and coloured the image with Promarkers.

That’s it – simple.

It’s time for a new monthly challenge at …

Jan’s Digi Stamps Challenge

As always the theme is Anything Goes .

There will be 2 random draws; one specifically for entries which use a JDS image, and the other for everyone else.  Each winner will receive a gift certificate for $10 to be spent in the store. 

Today I am using Jan’s gorgeous set

Wild Flower Blooms

Previously I used one of the pre coloured images but this time, I used the black and white image and coloured it with Promarkers.

I wanted to create a CAS almost monochrome card in elegant grey tones.

I recoloured the frame from the set in a digital design program.

I added the sentiment and the image which I again changed to a soft grey to match the frame. I then coloured the image with my Promarkers.

I matted and layered using matt silver paper on a white base card.
