I used a paw print embossing folder by Marian Design to create the background which I coloured using pastels.

The image was coloured using Promarkers and the background was coloured using pastels.

The ribbon, flowers and pearls are all from my stash.

Wedding / Anniversary at 613 Avenue Create

Good morning,

Today we have a brand new challenge over at 613 Avenue Create.

As always it’s 

Anything Goes with the Optional Twist – Wedding / Anniversary

The twist was suggested by our fabulous Carol.

I am lucky enough to have been invited to a friend’s wedding this month and was looking for a traditional keepsake to give to the bride on her wedding day.

I looked around on line for some inspiration and found lots of decorated horseshoes. As they were quite expensive and I have lots of bits and bobs lying around my craft room I decided to give it a go.

This is what I came up with.

I do hope she likes it.

I wound Guipure lace around an mdf horseshoe.

I then decorated it with ribbon, cabouchons, mulberry flowers and leaves and gems.

I used heat transfer paper to add the couple’s initials and wedding date to a burlap heart I made using a Tonic heart die.

I made a box to put it in.
