Queen For A Day

Good morning all,
Thursday again already! It's time for a brand new challenge over at CRAFT.
This week our theme is ......
Queen for a Day/Fantasy/Bling it Up/Land of Make Believe

Our sponsors for this week are ...

 QKR Stampede                      Sassy Studio Designs

As soon as I saw this image from Sassy Studio I fell in love with it.

As you can see I decided to make a twisted Easel Card. I love easel cards but am always reluctant to make them for people because they don't know how to make them stand up.

The image is coloured with Promarkers and Flexmarkers.
The paper is from a set by Lynn Grieveson called Starlight mini kit here
I printed the papers onto photo paper to give the depth of colour I was looking for.
I decoupaged the star trail and added a few glitter stars.
It really was one of the quickest and easiest cards I have made and I love the end result.
Hope you like it too.

Enjoy this challenge, looking forward to stopping by your blogs.

Christmas in April

Good morning all,
Well I it certainly feels like Christmas here, the wind is bitter! And today for me it's back to work after the Easter holiday. Once again the time has flown and unfortunately I haven't accomplished all that I set out to do!
Today over at CRAFT challenge we have a brand new challenge.
It is our Christmas Challenge week - each month one of our challenges will be a Christmas challenge so that we can all get ahead with those Christmas cards.

Our fantastic sponsors are......

 HopeJacare        A Day for Daisies

  Flonz              DigiDarla

I decided to make a tag this time for a change using a simple image from
A Day for Daisies called ‘three presents’
I teamed it with a Katie Pertier Christmas blendable (Christmas Blendables N0 4)  to create a simple scene.

I cut the tag using my large Go Kreate Tattered Tag die
The bottom layer is Kraft card; Th middle Layer is plain red cardstock and the striped paper is from Katie Pertiets Vintage Christmas Paper set.
The Doily was made using a Cheery Lynn Die
The Snowflakes were cut using a Marriane die set.
The flowers are Wild orchids.
The Ticket is a Cuddly Buddly sentiment digi stamp.
The ribbons, bell are and cute Santa Peg are from my stash.
Beneath the flowers you can just make out the holly sprig again cut with a Marianne die and coloured lightly with Bundles Sage Distress ink.

Use A Doily at The Paper Shelter

Good morning all it's time for another fantastic challenge at The Paper Shelter.

As always you don't have to use a Paper Shelter image to enter but if you do you have a chance to win
$ 30 voucher to spend in the Paper Shelter Shop.
If you win using another image then you still get to choose 3 images from the shop.

Today for my card I am using a new image called Most Adorable Racoons - and they certainly are!

I got a bit carried away with the embellishments on this one so you can only just see the Cheery Lynn doily on the right hand side.

The beautiful papers are  from the Distinguished Paper Pack also from Paper Shelter here. They are so lush!
The rose leaves were cut on my Silhouette cameo using vintage music paper.
The sentiment is stamped using bundled sage distress ink and the papers are edged in this.
The edging was made using a Martha Stewart border die - inked with bundled sage and cut into individual segments to go round the circle to create another doily effect.
The cute little racoons were coloured with Promarkers.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges......

I hope you enjoy this challenge as much as I did with little cuties like this to work with - who wouldn't?

Have a great day,

Bizarre, Wacky and Unique Holidays

Good morning everyone, I hope you are all enjoying your long holiday weekend.
This week at INCY WINCY Designs we have a great fun challenge for you.
No birthday, anniversary, Christmas, etc.  It MUST be a funny holiday taken from this website
Our generous sponsor for this week is

 Doodle Dragon Studios

Here is my card to celebrate May 6th No Diet Day.
I am already looking forward to this day as today I am starting a strict healthy eating campaign to lose weight for a forthcoming wedding.

A day dedicated to raising awareness of how unhealthy dieting can be harmful, or respecting and accepting body types, and promoting healthy eating rather than dieting. No Diet Day aims to help to teach people to have a healthy relationship with food, and to ditch restrictive diets and the harmful results they often have, such as anorexia and body-type perceptions in the media.

The image is Cupcake Monkey.
The Papers are from the Nitwit Collection Time for tea
The ribbon and gems are from stash.
The card shape was cut on my Silhouette from a template I bought here.
The sentiment was made using a Little Claire’s Stamp here.

Have fun with this challenge, and remember to hop over to see my fellow DT members creations.

Enjoy the rest of the holiday.
