Saturday, Bliss!

Hi every one For once today seemed never ending and I have accomplished a lot for a change. I was reassured when I visited my aunt to see a big improvement after her recent op and then spent the afternoon crafting because I had two cards to make, both for men. I haven't made an easel card for ages so decided to do one today.
This is my favourite of the two as I got to colour my new Teddy Bo digi stamp. I am new to stamping and colouring so I still need a lot more practice with shading and blending colours.

Pink and Lilac

I was too busy to post yesterday. There were too many things to fit into the day and the evening was spent collecting charity envelopes from the houses in our neighbourhood. This evening I needed to make a card for my dearest friend's birthday and so here it is!

I don't know what made me choose these colours, other than I just loved the Nitwit Papers, but the colours are so not me!
I am able to enter this card in several challenges though:
Ribbon Girl -  Colour Challenge Pink and Lilac
CRAFT - Happy Birthday.
One Stitch At A  Time - Any thing goes
Simon Says Stamp - Sparkle and Shine

For the card I used
Nitwit Papers
Marther Stewart double lattice border punch
Glitter Card
Roses from Wild Orchid Crafts
The Image is a digi stamp from Polkadoodles A Double Sprinkle of Kraft CD

Have a great weekend

My first RRR challenge

Hello all,
I have decided to enter my first Really Reasonable Ribbon challenge with this get well soon card I made for my aunt. I designed the backing paper myself using a graphics program.
The decoupage mouse is from Crafters' Companion The Tale of Two Bad Mice which I recoloured using Promarkers to match the paper.
The lace and flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts. Ribbon and charm are from my stash.

Fingers crossed!

Birthday

My card today is a birthday card for a younger colleague. I am aware that younger people are often not really into lace and ribbons, so I tried to grunge up my card slightly, but as usual I had to include my favourite wild orchid roses.
The image, sentiment and paper are from Polka Doodles Double sprinkles of Kraft.
The flowers and seam binding ribbon from Wild Orchid Crafts
I coloured the seam binding with antique linen distressing ink and added a charm from my stash.

New Blogger

Well I finally did it! I created a blog. I'm very new to this so hopefully you will see it grow as my confidence grows.
It was a busy day today as I had to visit an aunt of mine in hospital. Fortunately she should be going back home tomorrow so I quickly made this card for the nursing staff as a thank you. They were thrilled with it, so I was happy too.
