Quick cards

Morning All,
I have been so busy with Christmas cards that I had such a shock to discover I need four September birthday cards for work as soon as I go back at the beginning of the month. So I reached for my Tatty Teddy CD to look for inspiration for my quick cards. Here is one of them for a colleague who loves gardening and has an allotment.
I used the current challenge sketch over at A Gem of a Challenge.

The image, polka dot paper and decoupage elements are from the CD.
The border and striped paper are from a Nitwit collection.
Roses and skeleton leaf are from Wild Orchids and the buttons are from stash.

Only the heart and plant pot are decoupaged as I wanted the card to be fairly clean and simple.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges

Have a brilliant day - off to watch my husband play in a veterans cricket match much huffing and puffing, red faces and aches and pains tomorrow lol.

Sketch n stash

Good morning all,
I am feeling a bit sorry for myself today. Yesterday I went to the dentist to try and save a tooth that had broken. The dentist drilled away at what remained of  the tooth and filled it but said that it may well give me more problems and have to come out. Already it is beginning to throb so looks like another trip to the dentist.
I have followed this week's sketch from Sketch and Stash designed by Sue.
I used it as the design for my nephew's Christmas card featuring one of the adorable LOTV stamps which is my favourite and which I coloured with Promarkers.
The papers are part of the set I mentioned yesterday from Bearly Mine Designs.
I have used two different papers and three embellishments, gems, snowflakes and a ticket.
The snowflakes I bought this time last year for a crafting session with my niece and have had them in my box since then.
The ticket sentiment was made on my computer.

Two in one day

Two posts in one day - unheard of.
I have now made the Christmas cards for my two nieces. They are cousins not sisters and are at opposite ends of the age spectrum. My older niece Abbie is almost 20 whilst my younger niece is just 8. I have to make my two nephews cards now, the age gap there is slightly less but theses days just two years difference in age seems to be equivalent to 10 years when I was young.
The papers are digi papers from bearly mine designs - if you haven't checked them out yet, do, they have some amazing papers.
I followed the sketch created by Dena for the Wild Orchid Challenge.

Where does the time go?

Morning all,
I can't believe its been over a week since my last blog!. Where does the time go? Last week I had two lovely crafting days with my best friend supposedly making Christmas cards. The first day wasn't too productive as I made two new baby cards and Lynn spent a lot of time 'oohing' and 'arghing' over her new Tatty Teddy Cd. But we had a lovely day full of laughter - so much so that tears of laughter rolled down our cheeks. The second day was a bit more productive and both of us managed to make a couple of 'quick' cards which ended up taking all day to make! Again due to lots of laughter, tea and chocolate breaks and misplaced tools!!!!!!
This week I intend to make cards using the images I already have coloured and to finish projects that I have half completed.
This is a shaped easel card I made for my niece at Christmas. I don't have a Grand Calibur (yet)..... so I used my Cricut to make the shapes for the card. Next time I will tweek the size of the inner circles to make the borders smaller. I chalked the edges of the image and the scalloped circle.

Having Fun

It's so nice to be on holiday and have time to craft. Today I finished off a golden wedding anniversary card for my sister and brother in law. Can you believe 50 years of marriage - amazing. My sister in law is many years older than my husband so we are way off that milestone.
I decided to make a criss cross card and because they both love Country and Western Music and spend time travelling round the country to attend C & W weekends I decided to ink up the cowboy and cow girl teddy bo and teddy bea . The papers are from Raspberry road designs and are part of a free download called Java Joe - lovely for vintage and men's cards. I have distressed the hearts with antique linen distress ink and tea dye. I recoloured the vintage ribbon using tea dye distress ink
Flowers and vintage ribbon from Wild Orchids.
Lace is from Stash.
Sentiment is from lily of the valley.

Enjoy the rest of your day - off for a walk now.

This is a first!

Afternoon Peeps what a glorious day it has been today.
I have never altered anything before nor have I made my own flowers but I thought I would play today and have a go at the teddy bo challenge which is alter something. I looked around our office at home and saw the cd spindle pack that sits permanently on my desk and decided to spruce it up. The patterned paper is from the Raspberry Road Victorian set. The 'proper' flowers are from Wild Orchids and the ribbon is from my stash. My attempts at flowers are made using a Marianne creatable die and vintage music paper. Next time I will print on both sides of the paper to give some colour on the reverse. They actually look better in real life than on the photo. As I say I was playing rather than anything else and am in awe of the entries and DT samples on the teddy bo blog, but nothing ventured.........

So hot !

Hi everyone, hope you are all enjoying this lovely weather. My poor cats are not at all happy it's way too humid for them. Today my From Me To You CD arrived - yes the one I said I wouldn't buy because I didn't need it, well I actually did need it. The papers are lovely and the images are just so sweet and brilliant if you need to make a card in a hurry.
I have used one of the decoupage images on this card and paper from the CD.
The crocheted lace I have had for ages from Wild Orchids. The organza ribbon was given to me by an elderly lady who was throwing it out and was gratefully added to my stash, the blue satin ribbon is also from Wild Orchids. I followed the Sketchnstash sketch for this week by Jill

It was fun to do because you are allowed to add your own embellies and sentiments which is great.
The sentiment is a lily of the valley stamp, piano charm and gems are from stash.
I am entering this into the following challenges.
Sketchnstash -   Sketch

Paper take weekly - anything goes
Have a pleasant evening
